The challenge

Our Clients needed to maximise space without extending...

This 1960s ex-council house is home to a wonderful young family who just needed more space. The previous Kitchen was a very odd shape with not enough room for a dining table and no access to the garden. The layout was poorly designed and simply did not work for modern family living. Due to their limited budget an extension was immediately ruled out and careful considered design was needed to maximise the space within the existing property footprint. The end result is a real triumph of design, offering a large Kitchen diner with access to the garden, a zoned yet open kid’s area divided by a breakfast bar, a functional Utility room and the ever-important downstairs WC. The clients were absolutely delighted by the end result and couldn’t believe the size of the space.
