The challenge

Glazing vs warmth!

On first meeting this client we were asked simply to design a small conservatory at the rear of the bungalow to allow her sit and enjoy the sun with access to the garden. After spending some time with the client and on inspection of the rest of the property it became clear that the existing layout simply did not work and that there was also a desire for a larger, more open Kitchen too. The solution was to remove the array of existing cupboards, intrusive fire place and chimney stack and open up the entire area. A traditional insulated extension allows the room to be completely open whilst a glazed gable still provides copious amounts of natural sunlight with access provided to an external seating area via two sets of bi-folding doors. An inefficient conservatory would have prevented the existing property being opened up and we are so pleased the client trusted us to deliver far more than she could ever have imagined.

Mitch was incredible. He listened to everything that I wanted and encouraged me to imagine the house as I truly dreamed of, not just what I thought I could afford. He was honest about likely fees and timescales from the start and made the whole process completely stress-free.
